Martin Fuentes – a Ferrari Race car driver – called us the other day with a simple request: He wanted to have some fun. So we packed up our boards, foils, efoils, cameras and drone and headed down to Miami with the Next Level Watersports team.
We had an epic day on the water while teaching him how to ride the efoil and hydrofoil behind the boat. We started by working on proper stance, balance and foil technique, before using our step-by-step process for getting up on the foil. After just 20 minutes, he was getting sustained flight on the foil and cruising around in the air.
By the end of the day, our entire team was out on the water in an attempt to see how many we could pack behind the boat. We had Leland on the wakesurf, Jake on the foil, Luke on the efoil and Jon manning the drone.
It was an epic day on the water and a great trip for the team. We’ve been up and down the coast, kiteboarding and hydrofoiling from Florida, Georgia, and the around the Caribbean.
